Fidelity Investment's Distribution Profile System (DPS) stores information that guides the daily dissemination of Fidelity's mutual funds' prices to its customers. This project created a new GUI design and a prototype implementation of DPS in a Web-based format using Java. This conversion to Java from PowerBuilder followed the System Development Lifecycle and involved a thorough study of user requirements and various technology options and standards. The resulting proof-of-concept implementation confirmed Fidelity' intent to convert applications to Java.
