Software analysis of retinal phosphorescence images
PúblicoA phosphorescence-lifetime imaging technique is currently being used to measure oxygen tensions in the mouse retina, with the expectation that this technique can aid in the diagnosis and treatment of human retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy. Using a fundamental engineering design process, a software image analysis for use with the retinal phosphorescence images was developed. The final application uses a multiple display interface (MDI) and produces maps, graphs, and statistical data regarding the amount of oxygen present in selected regions of the retina.
