Physical-Mechanical Properties of Extrudates and Tablets Manufactured thereof
ÖffentlichHerunterladbarer Inhalt
open in viewerAmorphous solid dispersions are increasingly used in recent years to improve the oral bioavailability of poorly water soluble compounds. One technique used for the manufacturing of these systems is hot-melt extrusion. This project aimed to investigate the relationship between flexural stress and strain of hot-melt extrudates and their milling behavior as well as the effect of formulation composition and particle size on tableting. Three different grades of hypromellose (HPMC) were used as polymer and itraconazole (ITZ) served as the model compound.
