Developing a Platform for E-Waste Management and Marketing in Senegal

Public Deposited

Reparek aims to connect e-waste customers with repairers, while also providing an educational platform focused on e-waste health and environmental impacts. This report presents my background research on external and internal policies in Senegal regarding e-waste as well as SetTIC’s efforts from within the private sector. In order to develop this application, after an exploratory stage of the sociocultural implications and context of the project, I used a technical method for development. The goal of this project was to present a detailed account of how I approached global application development in order to support the e-waste management economy in Senegal as well as produce a product alongside SetTIC’s development team to support the nation’s informal e-waste economy.
