Volunteer management is crucial when it comes to the success of a volunteer-led organization. The Australian Red Cross Vic ES faces difficulties with volunteer onboarding and volunteer engagement. We conducted interviews, surveys, and focus groups with staff and volunteers at Vic ES and outside organizations to identify the sources of these difficulties. The project revealed a lack of volunteer engagement throughout the onboarding process, and beyond. Based on these findings, we proposed recommendations and deliverables to help resolve such issues.
