open in viewerSaint-Gobain Abrasives Shanghai is a grinding wheel manufacturing plant that intended to apply lean manufacturing principle to its manufacturing processes. This study was conducted to determine whether or not the idea of implementing lean was feasible. After thorough analysis, it was determined that the company would be able to benefit from the implementation of lean manufacturing. This report provides the company with proposed cell designs and also a method for the scheduling of manufacturing.
