Bird-Strike Prevention for COPA Airlines

The purpose of this report is to generally investigate bird-strikes and the unique case for COPA Airlines and Tocumen International Airport in Panama. It explores the reasons why bird-strikes occur and mitigation methods used before applying them to COPA Airlines and Tocumen International’s bird-strike problem to help illuminate the issue and offer potential solutions such as purchasing avian radars or shaping the environment on and off the airport to make them unattractive to birds.
