Developing Community-Based Management Approaches for the Punta Cabullones Natural Area
公开Punta Cabullones, an unutilized area home to many endangered species, is adjacent to the impoverished community of Vallas Torres. Working with Para la Naturaleza, we developed a plan to protect the fragile ecosystems while creating economic growth for the community. By surveying the land, assessing community attitudes, and researching opportunities for economic growth, we created a proposal for community-based management and tourism in Punta Cabullones. We propose a community garden, a beekeeping initiative, trails for tourism, and educational programming.
