A Stakeholder-Driven Approach to Sustainable Community Planning and Design
PublicContenu téléchargeable
open in viewerA participatory approach with project stakeholders was used to create a sustainable community space in Worcester, Massachusetts. Community-driven design principles and green architectural standards were the cornerstone of our project. The scope of work included a methodology for stakeholder collaboration, a master plan and landscape design for the site, and the functional and structural design for a greenhouse. A Revit model and master plan were created to provide a layout that best met the needs of partner organizations Civico Development, the developer of the site, and the Regional Environmental Council, a Worcester-based non-profit food justice organization. This project satisfied Worcester Polytechnic Institute degree requirements in Architectural Engineering and Sustainable Engineering Design.
