Design and construction of a wheelchair seating simulator

Public

The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability specializes in treating and caring for patients with severe disability, many of whom require custom or specialized wheelchairs. A seating simulator is a multi-adjustable seating system used to aid in the prescription of wheelchairs. On simulators, wheelchair parameters and components can be quickly and easily modified; this allows clinicians to simulate any seating system likely to be prescribed. The goal of this project was to design and construct a wheelchair seating simulator for the RHNd.
