Urgency Ethics in Robotics
PubblicoContenuto scaricabile
open in viewerThis project examined the applied ethics of robots during the COVID-19 pandemic. Focusing on the four major ethical principles (privacy, safety and security, fairness and non-discrimination, and transparency and explainability), this project mapped potential ethical issues that emerge from the deployment of robots and other autonomous systems in crisis situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The project also analyzed ethical issues in the robotics response to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster and provided insights for a comparative framework of urgency ethics in robotics.
