The purpose of this study was to determine the benefits of alloying a Pd-Cu membrane for the purposes of hydrogen separation. It was found that the binding energy of most adsorbates decreased with the addition of copper to the membrane, regardless of the position of the copper layer. This results in a decrease in the total production of hydrogen in exchange for a cheaper, more resilient membrane."; "Worcester Polytechnic Institute"; "2015-04-30"; "2015"; "2020-01-15T19:58:11.066962385-05:00"^^; "E-project-043015-143248"; ; "Major Qualifying Project"; "Chemical Engineering"; ; ; "http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"; ; ; "This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement.
