Community gardening is an initiative that allows individuals to foster positive social experiences and improvements to well-being through interactions with nature. The team worked with the University of Namibia School of Medicine to investigate the feasibility of a community garden for the student body and address the mental health concerns on campus. We worked closely with the students and faculty at the Hage Geingob campus to provide fact sheets on hydroponics, green spaces, mental health, and a book exchange library. These deliverables will provide the students of UNAM with resources to improve their mental well-being and build their community on campus. We used archival research and conducted interviews and focus groups to create these deliverables. We recommend that our sponsors provide the students with more mental health resources.
