The objective of this project is to research the history of spacecraft photovoltaic solar cells through journal research and investigation of current design strategies. Information gathered was organized and structured into a journal article for possible publication in the Photovoltaic Specialist Conference. The project was completed at Goddard Space Flight Center for the Power Systems Branch to investigate important events, evolution of design structure, and sources of project funding.
