Accidental Death and Dismemberment Rider Re-Rating

This project reviewed and refreshed the base rates for Unum's Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance rider. To execute this research, we suggested new SIC code groupings and conducted an Actual to Expected (A/E) claim cost study, which then motivated the creation of preliminary rates. Next, we conducted a credibility study and calculated weightings to arrive at final refreshed rates. Upon analyzing these final refreshed rates, we conclude that the rates could be reduced for most groupings, subject to additional considerations.
