The United States Federal Government is unrepresentative of the country’s diversity, and Executive Order 14035 was issued to work towards making the federal workforce more diverse and accessible for those in communities such as the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI). The goal of this project was, in collaboration with the Region IX working group, to create a toolkit to assist local AANHPI communities in Hawai'i when applying for federal jobs. Based on our research, we found that many people struggled with the federal application process due to differences from the private sector. The toolkit we created contains a seven part video series, recommendations for outreach programs, and additional materials to help create these programs.
