Communal Housing Design
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerCohousing is an intentional form of living that fosters affordable housing, sustainable practices, and tight-knit communities. With peer preferences as a guide, I designed a twenty-person cohousing development on a parcel of land located in Bozeman, Montana. The final product consisted of a full schematic site plan (developed in Civil 3D), a digital model (developed in SketchUp), and a cost estimate that included a mortgage schedule for all residents. Design elements included grading, stormwater management, wastewater treatment, electrical system sizing, layout development, and landscape architecture.
