open in viewerThis project assesses the feasibility of a contract farming model between Eastern Spectrum Group and Thai agricultural commodity farmers. To achieve this, the team conducted interviews with farmers, performed a content analysis on the interview data, and investigated the practicality of cultivating industrial hemp under a contract farming model. The validation results revealed that with proper support from the company and a trusting relationship, the contract farming model is a feasible and mutually-beneficial solution to reducing agricultural poverty in Thailand.
