This project identifies problems that occur in collecting, sorting, transferring, processing, and the use of DNA evidence. Technologies used to analyze DNA and all that that entails are examined in order to point out problems such as contamination of evidence, low speed, and high cost of the analysis process. Management and politics behind the running of the crime laboratories are compared in hopes of finding the best method. Solutions are suggested that will hopefully improve the efficiency of crime labs.
