Interactive Environmental Education: Developing an African Village Exhibit
PúblicoContenido Descargable
open in viewerAlthough public awareness of climate change has increased recently, key indicators show insufficient remediation. Our sponsor, CERES, works to educate the public about the effects of climate change on water and food security, and about environmental justice issues, such as conflict mineral mining. Our goal was to develop and test an African village exhibit to promote a personal understanding of the interconnected impacts of these problems on Australians and Africans. We researched exhibit design and studies of these environmental issues in both regions, then we developed and tested activities and signage for the exhibit, which will inspire more sustainable behaviors.
