open in viewerThe 21st century will be characterized by the upcoming energy and climate crises. There is a current theoretical discourse into the implementation of lunar helium-3 as the main source of nuclear fusion energy. Our team has investigated utilizing fusion on the moon to alleviate the energy crisis through the following vectors: maintenance of human presence on the moon; operation of helium-3 excavation; transmission of energy from the lunar surface to Earth; and conversion of the LASER power into electricity.
