The water treatment industry is growing due to environmental and population changes, urbanization and industrialization, and growing awareness and evidence of harmful contaminants. There is increasing demand for potable and industry-usable water, as well as increasing standards for withdrawal and discharge. The patent pending Sorption Oxidation (SOx) process developed by Dr. John Bergendahl and Dr. Robert Thompson can effectively remove organic contaminants in numerous applications. This report addresses the state of the technology, promising applications, reviews of the domestic and international water treatment markets, and opportunities for commercialization. After in-depth product, industry, and market analyses, it has been concluded that there is a wide range of market opportunities.
