Testbed for WiFi localization

Public

The purpose of this project is to create a testbed and evaluate the performance of different algorithms that are used to locate Wireless LAN Access Points (APs). The testbed was created by collecting and forming a database from different locations at WPI in Worcester and Chinatown in Downtown Boston. Using the testbed, the performance of three algorithms Least Square Algorithm (LSA), Simple Averaging Algorithm (SAA) and Power Weighted Algorithm (PWA) were compared.

  • This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
