Design of a Miniature Aerial Surveillance Vehicle
PublicAn electric-powered, remote-controlled miniature aerial surveillance vehicle was designed for military use to provide soldiers with a method of long-range observation. The final design includes a modified off-the-shelf electric remote-controlled helicopter adapted to include a miniature camera. The helicopter as purchased was difficult to fly and easy to break. Several of the helicopter's less durable components were analyzed, a new power source was selected and a miniature camera was mounted. The final design worked as intended.
