Analysis and design of CNC manufactured furniture

Public

This Major Qualifying Project analyzes the use of computer aided design and manufacturing technology for furniture. Using axiomatic design, a workspace was designed, focusing on the integration of technology, organization and aesthetics. As a project that explores the discipline of industrial design, it strongly considers the aesthetics of the design as well as the design's sensitivity to the physical environment. The ideal manufacturing facilities were also developed with axiomatic design, to demonstrate the importance of manufacturability.
