Sections of several towns in Central Massachusetts were displaced when the Wachusett Reservoir and Clinton Dam were created in the late 1800s. This project involved researching people and families who lived in Boylston, one of the partially displaced towns, to tell their stories. We employed digital reconstruction by creating 3D models of buildings that were in Boylston and displayed them using an interactive platform that allows users to explore what life was like in Boylston before the dam.
