In collaboration with the Fitchburg Department of Public Works and Fitchburg Public Schools, our team developed a Stormwater Education Program consisting of a Student Workbook and Educator Resource Guide. Through interviews, analysis of stormwater materials, and pilots of the materials, we aimed to help the City of Fitchburg comply with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Public Education and Outreach control measure. The Student Workbook and Educator Resource Guide combine interdisciplinary learning with hands-on activities to instill environmental stewardship among younger generations. We hope that the program will promote growth of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math programs within diverse cities.
