Diffusion and reaction in microchannels

Public

This project describes the process of simulating the catalytic partial oxidation of methane reaction simulation in a square microchannel using the DS2V simulation program, and compares the data obtained from the simulation to data from a similar experiment and simulation. The comparison is a test of the feasibility and accuracy of using the DS2V program to simulate chemical reactions in microchannels, where rarefied gas behavior is a relevant factor and the Navier-Stokes equations are no longer accurate.
