Public DepositedDownloadable Content
open in viewerAutism affects an estimated half a million people, but only 20% are diagnosed and even fewer receive treatment or services. This project surveyed caregivers of autistic children to gauge the level of awareness of autism spectrum disorder, as well as the scope of services and treatments offered in Morocco. We interviewed families and professionals and gathered information from autism centers. With this information, we compiled a database and report for Autism Speaks that can identify areas of improvement for care.
