Ellipsometry of Biofilms
PúblicoContenido Descargable
open in viewerThe goal of the project was to measure the change of polarization upon reflection and transmission of protein films in order to find the film's thickness and optical constants. In order to accomplish this goal, I needed to find a viable deposition for the thin biofilms. I was able to create a solution using myoglobin, guanidinium hydrochloride, and a sodium phosphate buffer that would allow me to control all aspects of the sample's composition for ellipsometry experimentation in the future.
