The goal of this project was to create a new assembly process for the Tri-Grip Assembly Machine in order to conserve time, reduce scrap, conserve machine space and reduce the number of steps needed to complete the process. In order to accomplish this, an initial computer analysis of the existing process was performed. Next, several concepts were generated, analyzed and presented to Gillette engineers for selection. These selected concepts were brought to a prototype level and tested for effectiveness.
