Design of a mini test machine

Public

Design of a Mini Test Machine is an [sic] Major Qualifying Project (MQP) commissioned by Bob Simonelli in cooperation with Worcester Polytechnic Institute to design and build a scaled down version of Mr. Simonelli's tensile test machine that displayed his patented design concept. The process of completing the project consisted of defining the project, engineering a machine within the project definition, and building the machine to the design specifications. The finished product was a functioning tensile test machine that placed a repeatable known force on a piece of steel in cantilever loading.
