Reducing Medication Errors in the Prehospital Setting
Public DepositedDownloadable Content
open in viewerCritically sick patients being transported to the hospital by ambulances often receive lifesaving medications from paramedics. However, there is a growing concern about administering incorrect medications or incorrect dosage of medications to critically sick patients. To improve the administering of drugs to patients in an ambulance, a new reference and medication storage system is proposed. This system determines the dosage calculations, provides medication indications and contraindications, and securely stores medications.
