This MQP is interdisciplinary consisting of a physics and professional writing component. The goal of the physics component was to develop a high-frequency moisture detection sensor for pulp and paper applications. This sensor will be mounted to a smart industrial dryer to detect the moisture content of paper samples at the dryer's inlet. The goal of the professional writing component was to understand SOP implementation in physics. This component had a specific focus on physics labs at WPI. In addition, an SOP was created for the moisture detection sensor lab of the Physics component.
