The Affects of Open Source Software Licenses on Business Software
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis project investigates open and closed source licenses and how each style of license changes the way business is done. We look at: license violations and consider techniques for reducing violations, why businesses use closed source and open source licenses, and the intellectual property rights businesses and individuals have in open source licenses. We show that open licenses are easier to enforce, but require a different business model and show how piracy can be effectively reduced. -
