I completed my semester-long teaching practicum at Chocksett Middle school in Sterling, MA. I was placed under the advisement of Kristie McGuire in 7th Grade Science. This experience was a fantastic opportunity for me to build on my skills as an educator and prepare me for becoming a licensed middle school general science teacher in the state of Massachusetts. Throughout my experience I worked on the 7 essential elements of CAP: Subject Matter Knowledge, Structured Units and Lessons, Adjustments to Practice, Meeting Diverse Needs, Safe Learning Environment, High Expectations, and Reflective Practice. As an educator, I believe that it is important to strengthen and protect students' social and emotional well-being through specific experiences and relationships formed in my classroom. More of me and specifics of my practicum experience can be found on my Eportfolio by scanning the QR code.
