open in viewerUsing electrical impedance spectroscopy, three nanoparticle-based detection schemes were investigated. In particular, reproducibility and ease of amplification were thoroughly analyzed. Though all three configurations successfully detected the presence of the target molecule (human IgE), the sensor utilizing an aptamer sandwich mechanism generated reproducible, large impedance changes in the presence of human IgE.
