Environmental Control for Persons with Disabilities
公开可下载的内容
open in viewerThis project researched available environmental control units (ECUs) designed to electronically aid persons with disabilities in their daily lives. Working from literature, interviews, and hands-on experience with the technologies, we use a simple environmental control technology (X-10) to develop reconfigurable laboratory modules that can be used in ME3506 (Rehabilitation Engineering) to demonstrate different aspects of environmental control to WPI students and create tutorials to introduce other people, specifically health care professionals such as physical therapists, to environmental control technologies for use by persons with disabilities.
- This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
