As the political and cultural capital of the United Kingdom, London is full of history and, correspondingly, full of opportunities for students of the humanities. This project examines the evidence and perceptions of history present in London today by visiting historically significant sites and identifying opportunities for further study. Evidence of three time periods in particular are examined: London at War (1914-1945), Victorian London (the nineteenth century), and the Tudor London (sixteenth century).
