This document is an Interactive Qualifying Project sponsored by the Science Museum in London. the Science Museum celebrates Black History Month every year in October to attract underrepresented audiences. The goal of this project was to help the Science Museum plan Black History Month celebration activities for the year 2001 and increase the involvement of the Black people with the museum. We conducted research on the interests of the Black community in the United Kingdom and obtained themes for possible museum activities the Science Museum can produce in October. Those themes guided our recommendations to the Science Museum. The project yielded a plan of activities that the museum will consider producing for Black History Month. Completion of the project satisfies the Interactive Qualifying Project required for graduation from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
