Financial institutions strategically target younger generations to secure future customers, adapt to technology trends, and build lasting relationships. We define younger generations as those between 18 and 30 years old, including parts of both Gen Z and Millennials. Our goal was to develop an understanding of how good financial practices and their reinforcements can be achieved in young customers through the development of an engaging application utilizing Fidelity Center for Applied Technology’s (FCAT) current APIs. We created StockADE, an application utilizing a swiping motion common to young generations that presents news, graphical data, and convenient stock trading. Upon completing the development of our application, we applied our knowledge and experience to present our sponsor with the results of our findings.
