The design and construction of modern tamper-proof solid state watthour meter

Public

The goal of this project was to design and build an improved electrical watthour meter which would not be susceptible to the currently most popular electrical energy-theft methods. The meter was built using an energy-measuring integrated circuit based on signal processing in digital domain (e.g., multiplication and filtering). The meter accuracy under different conditions was valuated using the standard watt hour meter. It was concluded that the meter's accuracy satisfies the US meter standards.
