Tethered Submersible Surveyor

open in viewerCurrent underwater inspection vehicles are either extremely slow or high priced despite their plethora of use cases. The Tethered Submersible Surveyor is an underwater, semi-autonomous tethered vehicle designed to glide across the ocean floor for fast close inspection work. The tether provides the craft's primary propulsion as well as communications and power supplied from a boat on the surface. The TSS aims to enable applications such as topology scanning, utility mapping, and other surveying applications.
