Thermocouple bias error on flat plates
PublicThermocouple bias error is an unavoidable problem that occurs in experimental testing. Evaluating this error through experimentation is a cost and time inefficient process. There is a need for a reliable simulation method to accurately predict this temperature error in different environments. Using SolidWorks and COSMOS the project resulted in a tool to predict temperature bias error created by mineral-insulated, metal-sheathed, type K thermocouples on flat plates.
