Power integrity system

Public

This Major Qualifying Project (MQP) deals with the implementation of a power line sensor (PLS) that will be able to detect the height of a power line and transmit this information back to the Power Company. The goal for this MQP is to design a working prototype power line sensor to accomplish this task. Both the power line sensor and the controlling computer make up a system called Power System Integrity (PSI). Power Companies will find that the PSI system will be a valuable tool for quickly isolating dangerously low or fallen power lines.
