Systematic fracture reduction apparatus and temporary fixation device
PublicAn external realignment and temporary fixation device for use in canines has been designed, fabricated, and tested. The key features of the device are realignment through lengthening, torsion, bending, and translation by independent mechanisms. These mechanisms also allow for temporary independent fixation of each degree of freedom until a permanent fixation device can be applied. This device will greatly improve the surgical technique used for realignment of simple and complex fractures in canines.
