Photorealistic computer animation of combustion

Public

This major qualifying project describes the research and implementation of a new process for the creation of photorealistic animations of combustion phenomena. A study of the physics and chemistry of combustion phenomena, an aesthetic model of what people perceive when observing fire, and an analysis of previous relevant work in the computer graphics field was made. Realistic animations were created after designing a software renderer utilizing the concepts and algorithms developed in this paper.
