The goal of this project was to discover how big data can be used to help inform Acadia National Park’s future actions. To do this, we used StreetLight, a traffic data aggregation and processing service. We analyzed its effectiveness at finding the travel patterns, parking durations, and demographics of park visitors. These results are then compared to other data collection methods. Additionally, we provided recommendations on how Acadia National Park could utilize big data to improve their current services and inform their future actions."; "Worcester Polytechnic Institute"; "Congestion", "StreetLight", "Big Data", "Traffic"; "Sustainability", "Infrastructure", "Environment"; "2021-07-29"; "2021"; "2021-09-22T16:09:26.319936857-04:00"^^; "26581", "E-project-072921-180853"; ; "2021-10-23T15:42:45.17569773-04:00"^^; "Interactive Qualifying Project"; "Acadia National Park, Maine Project Center - IQP"; ; ; "http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"; ; ; "This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement.
