The 2002 German Federal Election

Public

This report examines the 2002 German Federal Election. First, the report analyses the various parties who ran in the election. Then, each state in the German Federal Republic was examined. Special emphasis was given to state issues, to see how they influenced the outcome of the election, if at all. After this, conclusions were drawn as to how much influence the states had on this election, and to determine how Schroder and his Social Democrats were able to win this election.
