Photonic devices for fuel cells
公开This project explores waveguiding properties of Nafion, commonly used as a proton exchange membrane (PEM) in fuel cells. Several experiments were conducted to determine whether the guiding properties varied with humidity. In these experiments a humidified Nafion waveguide was observed to have optical properties that are measurably different from a dry Nafion waveguide. The output intensity of the humidified Nafion waveguide was 284 ?4 percent of the output of the dry Nafion waveguide.
